ABOUT ME

Here's what you really need to know: I love all things pink.  I truly believe that you're never too old for tea parties. I scare (and scream) easy.  I can't live a day without Starbucks. On any given day I'll always tell you: the glass is, most definitely, half full. 

Which is why I love Bhangra. Nothing quite makes a half empty day into a half full one like dancing does. 

One could say that my love affair with Bhangra began as soon as I could walk (read: dance).  But I didn't truly put on my dancing shoes until my freshman year at UCLA, when I joined UCLA's Bhangra Team.  I went on to dance for UCLA for 4 years, help host Bruin Bhangra from 2004-2007, and serve as Bruin Bhangra President in 2006-2007.  In Fall 2007 I moved from Westwood to Palo Alto and thought I had hung up my dancing shoes for good.  As luck would have it, three years later I met some Bhangra Superstars in the Bay Area and a new love affair began, this time with Bhangra Empire :).

Outside the pursuit of Bhangra Superstar-dom, I'm also a graduate student, coding remotely for a startup, and researching interactive workspaces.
